SOA Collection and Management – Categories 1 and 3

Antinia Srl is a company authorized to collect, transport and manage animal by-products (ABP) belonging to Categories 1 and 3, operating in full compliance with EC Regulation 1069/2009.

SOA Collection and Management – Categories 1 and 3

• SOA Category 1 – This concerns high-risk materials that are not intended for any type of reuse. It includes carcasses of infected animals, animals subjected to prohibited treatments and waste from international canteens. These by-products must be eliminated through incineration or co-incineration in authorized facilities.

• SOA Category 3 – Includes low-risk by-products, deriving from slaughterhouses, food industries and processing of products of animal origin. They can be used for the production of animal feed, pet food, fertilizers or biogas, provided they are treated according to current regulations.

Storage facilities for SOA

Antinia Srl has certified storage facilities for the delivery, temporary storage and management of animal by-products, before they are sent for final treatment.

The facilities are equipped with:

• Refrigerated areas and cold storage rooms to ensure the conservation of materials awaiting disposal.
• Advanced safety systems for monitoring and preventing contamination.
